Fix It Man

Added to site: Feb 05 at 9:27p.m.
The delivery bed in Maternity has been temporarily fixed by me.

I experienced poor sleeps for the first 4 nights here, due to an onslaught of bed bugs. Sheets washed and sprayed with fly spray helped, along with now sitting outside in the sun every fine day - along with mattresses and pillows. Yay . . . . Relief!

70 people seen so far by me - from 1 day old to 77yrs old. Presentations include sciatica, dehydration, neck pain, post hermetic neuralgia, abdominal colic, inguinal hernia, abdominal muscle pain, LRTI (lower respiratory tract infection), tooth extractions, keloid (overgrowth of scar tissue) of ear, lacerations of arms and legs, leg cramps, post absorbable suturing granulomas (granuloma is a mass of granulation or healing tissue, typically produced in response to infection, inflammation or presence of a foreign body - these form when the immune system attempts to wall off substances it perceives as foreign, but is unable to eliminate), reading glasses, umbilical hernia, chainsaw cut to hand, viral cough, post traumatic (punching) hand pain, constipation, shoulder pain, asthma, wound dressing, diarrhoea, headaches, submandibular swelling, knee pain, eye pain, psoriatic arthritis, domestic violence, intestinal worms, tooth pain, infected lacerations, wrist pain, hydrocephalus (chronic neurological condition caused by an abnormal accumulation of the cerbrospinal fluid causing pressure on the brain and an enlarged head) in a 3mth old baby, divided dorsal tendon and fractured toe in 10yr old child.

Midnight last night I saw a 77yr old man with cough & Rt sided chest pain.

Re staffing here - Nurse Practitioner Sam has not been here at all since I’ve been here. Elliann (permanent Nurse) is away delivering her child to school in Port Vila. Jeremiah is New Grad Nurse looking after the place. Plus 1 Malaria and Tb (Tuberculosis) Tester, Helen (Nurse Assistant) and Valerie (cleaner).
